i'm shooting for c++.. because of the concept of Creating User defined DataTypes. For me c++ holds the most Promising Future. However, i haven't yet learnt enough to exploit that idea. i put my studying on hold for now because of having diffiiculty with that OOPS concept. And now still struggling getting past HTML/CSS/JavaScript for WebDesign.. I know this is Helping my Understanding for building Structures..so i want to finish this first. Another thing that's Helping me is this Q/A Discussions. Just seeing what others are Experiencing thru their Eyes is of great benefit to me.. So ThankU to All of you for Sharing your Perspectives on all of this. And to answer your Initial Question of the Best Computer Language.. I vote for c++.

I am with @Jamie O, Not everyone feels the same about each language. I prefer C based languages, javascript, and python.

There is no best programming language. Programming languages differ by case and requirements. You question can be answered by the purpose of you being a programmer: 1. is it a passion 2. is it for a project 3. are you working for someone 4. is there a particular problem you are trying to solve 5. what machine are you programming for, ie, PC, mobile device or web In some cases one language maybe mandatory and in most cases you have the liberty to chose your own. Again, there is no best language
