What is the best language for back end?

PHP, Python, Ruby: These languages are used on the server side and are therefore back end. While PHP is almost exclusively paired with web development in the LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) stack, Python has a rich history in systems administration as well. node.js: Node allows the use of JavaScript on the server side. source: web

Still php for me. but it just my preference

Actually Javascript. Since NodeJS come to life, Javascript is'nt just a client side scripting language, but a really apealling server side language too, ideal for back end development
