Are front end developers "looked down" by back end developers because front end is easier than back end?

as a front end developer I have to say the stuff the back end developers do are indeed more complex.

for example for front end: html and CSS are something that kids learn. JavaScript is something they teach undergrads as a first programming language.

what's your experience?

I guess I'm more of a backend dev, and it's precisely because of that I don't look down on frontend devs. While people may say that frontend stuff is easier, it is complex as it is for a backend who doesn't know anything about frontend. Even till now, I'm amazed by the HTML+CSS-only webcodes on here.

one thing that front end developer win again back end developer is creativity. they are half painter half wizard. while back end developer have higher technical skill, front end have higher design skill.
