Is it possible to mark our own answer as best and get xp for it?

I just wondered. have seen many do it, but don't know whether they ever for the xp.

I didnt know that xp shall be awarded for the best answer....
If that is the case then what is the xp given for each best answer.

Best answers are 10xp plus 1xp per upvote.

@Siddharth (correct me if I'm wrong) I think it's 16 xp to the person whose answer gets voted as the best by the questioner.
