Highly recommend it, if you have an interest in data science, statistics, data analysis, etc. Start with the Titanic problem. It has tutorials that walk you through it using either R or Python. And then play from there! Many of the challenges have money awards for the best submissions, but the competition is fierce. And employers do hire off of Kaggle.
