Which language should i learn if i want to programm a small messenger for me and my friends?

i want to build a messenger which me and my friends would use would be nice if you could give me hints as well :)

if you want to creat a messenger for android, you should learn java and socket 😉

If using C#/ASP.NET MVC, look at SignalR. Web sockets in general are probably your best bet.

okay so i want an APP for both.. i will ned to do it for IOS and Android

i tried c++ for half a year but do not know very much

so i am basically a complete rookie
