Besides C++, I'd say Javascript. Quite simply put, it is the language of the web. And with the new ES6 it is becoming something else. - Front-end dev? Javascript - Server back-end dev? Javascript using NodeJS - Web browser plugins/extensions? Javascript - Web apps? Javascript - Cross-platform desktop apps? Javascript using Electron - Mobile apps? Javascript using React Native, Iconic, Cordova - Games? Javascript using Phaser

Assembly will always be relevant while we deal with CPU of current technology level.

mark my words, C/C++ will always remain in practice coz C/C++ is native language and C++ support most paridigms that means you can code in any style acording to your need.
