The comedy group name was "The Monty Python" Their TV show name was "The Monty Python's Flying Circus" Inside the TV show, was a sketch about "spam, spam, spam... and egg" which inspired the use of "spam" and "egg" as generic example variable name ( instead classical "foo" and "bar" ^^ ) The comedy group was composed of 4 britain people and one american... Among britain people was Eric Idle, which name inspired "IDLE" IDE name of Python, and the american becomes the famous Terry Gilliam ( Brazil, The adventure of Baron Munchausen, or the most recents 12 monkeys, Fear and loathing in Las Vegas... )
