What are benifits of learning OCaml ? Is it worth learning cinsidering college placements?

Also let me know if any one of you has coded in it.. and should this be one of the courses of SoloLearn?

Many questions here. Benefits: as a programmer, you get a new perspective of packaging solutions in programs. New because functional programming remains a niche area. Also, along the lines of ESR extolling the virtues of learning lisp, learning OCaml can be argued to be an enlightening experience as well. For this reason alone, it is worth learning. There are only limited number of employers using this language. There are many reasons for this low uptake. One is, very limited multiprocessing support. Very few universities teach using this language, so talent is hard to find. Since ocaml compiler emits native executable binaries, it can be used as a prototyping plus production language rolled into one.
