Python2 vs Python3

I think as a language Python3 is strictly better, but there are still many libraries for Python2 out there, which have not yet been translated to 3, so it might be wise to learn both. Best practice in coding then would be to write code, which is easily modified to work with the other version, if you don't have a specific reason not to do so.

the main difference is that Python2.7 will lose support by 2020. while python3 will continue

It's sort of similar to every informatic program and software that you know, that renovates to stay at the pace of its time (just look at Microsoft/s Windows or Apple's iOS)
