I need some encouragement or help whatever ...

I have to finish the first phase of my Algorithms &Data structures project til next Sunday and I haven't really started yet, because I don't really know what to do ... šŸ˜æ We have a predefined set where everything is already declared what we need to implement, well at least the basic things, like constructors ... My topic is Coalesced Hashing for collision resolution when inserting values. And I've read multiple websites for how it works (there's not much to find about it) and I know vaguely how it works

Hi Aloisia, it seems we both attend the same course and I also chose coalesed hashing. I haven't started either. But I will this week and will do it as following: First, I try to make the predefined code working, then I will adapt this code for my needs and expand the code to be more accurate. Work in little steps and try to test out every small part you finished. I know this is hard, since we tend to program alot and then test all in the end, but cutting it down to small parts can drastically improve error fixing ;)
