Why is java different from let's say C ++?

we've had that we question many times, just search for it in the forum's or Google c++ vs Java you'll get tons of arguments for and against

depends on what you want to make; does it need to be compiled or interpreted? does it have to run on different platforms or just one? PC or mobile device?
