Which offline software apart from Andoid Studio can one use to develop Phone Apps?

Processing in Android Mode https://processing.org AI4all (the offline version of appinventor. Both solution are beginner friendly but come with minor limitations. there is also an android App named APDE that is based on processing and letsyou create apps on the android device itself.

well you can build android apps with eclipse. but Google has officially stopped support for eclipse. Eclipse is good otherwise!

Eclipse IDE. but Android studio is cool cos it has a preview of your work and an emulator though Eclipse has an Emulator, Android Studio is pretty cool with method implementation and auto code complete
