I believe the poster is asking the same that I've been thinking : a learning series in solo learn style for applying java knowledge towards android development. few things I would like to see would be manifest explanation (in detail) as well as android sdk usage. docs are sometimes hard to follow and most tutorials I've seen only briefly touch on the Android sdk before pushing you to pick a library (i have settled with libgdx which is an amazing library, but I still have little knowledge of android programming without the library)
