JavaScript was derieved from C++ So It come from C++ not Java property, object, method, function in javascript is like as what c++ has It's really different from java Then why Java inside the name? Maybe with the reason of "Java is easy and JavaScript is easy too"

The developers of JavaScript used Java in the name because it was popular and figured JS would get more popular too if the name Java was in it. Apart from that, Java and JavaScript don't have much in common

I don't remember for sure but as I read - JS did first steps and took it's part of name to be closer to Java , but it's only about it's name. Idk about taking Java's methods or rules e.t.c ... Anyway, now it's huge and strong language , not depending from others.
