Level and xp

What is the link between someone's level and how many XP I will get if I win a challenge against him/her?

Level - not so much (if any). The diff between your xp in a particular language and that of your opponent's - very strong.

So you have to check every challenger XP in the requested language, while they are proposed by level ... not very practical!

Yes, that can be a bit misleading. The option would be to add a stake you might get for each challenge beforehand. So that you knew both the level and the xp at stake (to win or lose).
