How much lessons should we master before starting to practice problems on sites like Codechef etc ?

I have started to learn python. So you can tell according to the lessons given under python section

Once you master module 3 you should be able to do most of the problems on such sites, as far as syntax is concerned - for most you should know also some algorithms or data structures.
