With gcc compiler you get gdb, where you can debug freely your program, see whats in the registers, see whats the next instruction etc.

Why? A lot does not always mean good. Its just that, a series of instructions to the OS.

yep, c++ code is a script, but you may be refeering to a shell script, which is just a series of instructions that you could do in a terminal, like

ls
cd .

i dont know if this is the correct syntax, but you get the idea.
