Is programming really that hard to learn?

Depends, it definitely will take some time. From the moment you get the hang of it, it will take at least 1+ years to master the language and everything around it completely. Unless you got no life. Again, it depends.

learning any foreign language is hard? in some cases it might be! but practice and patience makes it possible. programming is same but being pro coder is hard like writing poems or mastering literature

with some dedication and determination it becomes second nature, so basically it depends on the individual's approach on the subject

Depends on a person too. If you have hard time with logical thinking, programming might be hard. But often, if you can't do logic puzzles, you rarely want to do them/care about practicing programming. But for the most part it's about persistence, practice and experimenting. At least for me
