What is the different between the subscipted text and the superscripted text?

in math when you write out 2 to the tenth power, you would write a 2, normal size, and a 10 on the top right of the 2, but significantly smaller. that's a superscript in html, and a subscript is on the bottom right

Superscript is when you want to write something in power like (2^10) here "10" is written in superscript i-e above the text subscript is when you write something below the text line like (H20) here "2" is written below the regular text line then it is in subscript
