i really want a basic concept of php? we can use html and css only to create a webpage then why php?? javascript is already there for external popups and more?? so why php??

PHP is used to run code on a server. You can make your website more dynamic that way since the website can interact with the server. Doing so you csn use all the resources the server has, that's something you can't do with Javascript.
