Why if html is bad Language then why teach it..why dont teach xhtml?????

HTML isn't bad. XHTML would be an upgrade (it's easier to parse), but the problem is that if there is a single error in your writing, the whole pages doesn't render and you just get an error message on the screen. Imagine that you have some ads on your site or any sort of external content and because that one bad programmer there made a mistake your whole page comes crashing and the user doesn't see anything - that's not useful at all. HTML is more resilient and a browser can deal with just about anything you throw at it. Both of them have advantages :)

Yeah, sure. Most things are HTML. Chances are if you are writing clean HTML, it'll be almost XHTML compliant. There's a tool to check whether your (X)HTML is valid, by the guys who make the HTML standards, which you can check against at any point: https://validator.w3.org/
