PHP vs SQL

PHP and MySql are like bread and butter. PHP is the server side programming language that let you make the code that resolve the main problem. Usually knows as 'business logic'.
If your solution need to persist data, then SQL come to action.
SQL is present in most systems, independent of the programming language ( java, c++, c#, python, php, ruby or swift)
In others systems NoSQL also come to action.
Then you can choose PHP to learn, the SQL. But remember, SQL is important no matter the language you choose.
