Im learning java and ruby simultaneously.. Should i be careful..i dont want to mix stuff up..

I'm learning java for android app and dev and Ruby for quick hacks a.k.a scripts..

You will mix things up. not a big deal tho. I spent months with Python before starting Java. I mix things up all the time. Python uses True and False. Java uses true and false. It happens

I admire ruby's clean syntax as compared to java's {}..but android needs java..so no choice .. :)..need to learn the big guy

That is the only reason I bothered with Java as well. I have made a few apps and some PC software in Java. it does get easier. I still Prototype in Python before I transfer my ideas over to Java. My codes here have for example both a python and a java version of rgb to hexadecimal conversion. Much easier to get it out of my head in the easier language and focus on what and not how lol.
