Steps of learning programming

I started learning Java with sololearn to get basic knowlage od this language. What would be the next step od learning? install some IDE?

U need to install JDk or You can install IDE like NetBeans or Eclipse & start writing some basic programs & later move to advanced programs ...Also u can try some other easy courses like html on sololearn to gain even more knowledge . @Mber

yes i prefer netbeans

with it you can use python also

or java apps
(quick .jar compiling, JFrame and javafx integrated)

you can also start learning android development

for that you can use netbeans itself or
go for android studio
or use c# (which is a java copy-cat) with xamarin

Thank you for your answers. I think it's a good idea to install netbeans and start write codes and check what it does.
