As a beginner how to become a good front-end web developer. Which programming language to start and how to develop skills consistently.

Step one: Master HTML & CSS
Step two: Learn Javascript
Step three: Master JQuery (or any JS library you prefer)
Step four: Master a Javascript framework (e.g. Angular, Backbone etc...)
Step five: Practice A LOT
