@Reaper I was actually practicing hacking using XSS method, I screwed up leaving the website Blank, All blank, I dont know what to do, to tell the admin I screwed up please dont put me to jail or keep in silence and hack another website, Then I did hack another one, But my injected script keeps going to a div element. I'm supposed to be hacking this site but this one div tag keeps stealing my script xD

Hacking can be considered illegal only if you do it without the consent of the attacked party. I am unsure if you need some form of written permission or not, but there are different types of hacker and the white hat hackers usually get permission so they can relay what they find in vulnerabilities to the company that hired them to hack their own systems. Black hats and grey hats are probably what you would consider illegal in some cases. Sorry studying cyber security in college atm.

To be honest though, it really is just one class so far that was focused on cyber security. Other classes did have a portion that emphasized security but didn't go into as much detail. You basically gotta learn the tech to also be able to secure it so the class I took basically told me things that were not directly related to tech, such as what a man trap door is or a turnstile and how it can be used for security. Talked about the types of hackers and even types of attacks on computers. Did you know that when most people refer to a virus that they may actually be talking about malware? a virus is a type of malware that makes your computer not function in a specific way, usually a virus would replicate itself inside your system causing your system to slow down. those pop ups though that you get from looking at porn though, that's adware. Some will still call it a virus but actually its malware and not a virus at all.

oh yea. a virus is a type of malware but malware is more than just a virus. viruses, worms, adware, etc are all considered malware.
