Is laravel framework worth to study for?

I want to learn about web development framework. Is laravel good? or have any alternatives?

Laravel (in my opinion) is the best framework out there because it is light and powerful too. it enables you to do so much with just a few good lines.
yes there are a couple frameworks powerful enough to compete with Laravel such as: cake PHP, Symfony, Zend, etc...
