What is the use of comments(<!-- -->) in Html?

hey I am new in learning HTML programing.I have recently found out about comments in the HTML.Can anyone tell me why we need comments in HTML ?what is their use?

It is what it says it is. Comments, so it doesn't affect the website or any performance.

The comments are there to make your code more readable and understandable.

it helps you for two things first it helps you to write comments for developers and you for reminding things cause these comments not shown in webbrowser if you are not looking source of page.

second it helps you for finding bugs at least i sometimes using them to remarkng html codes so i am not deleting codes and testing them by remarking... it helps!
