The internet is a massive network of networks, connecting millions of computers together globally using the tcp/ip protocols. The world wide web (www), or simply web, is a way of using the internet, by use of the http protocol. To quote wikipedia, it is a global set of documents, images, and other resources, logically interrelated by hyperlinks and referenced with Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs). You can use an internet browser such as Firefox or Chrome to browse the web. The web is only a part of the internet (albeit the most visible one). For example, the internet is also used for email (smtp, pop3), newsgroups (Usenet, nntp), chat, or ftp, among others. A server is a machine connected to the internet to provide some kind of service. A web server will provide web pages, an smtp server will handle mails, etc.
