I understand Java, when I learn C++

These two languages differ quite a bit! Java is more close to C# which is completely different from C++. Also a good Java developer is also distinguished by how well he/she knows the existing libraries. So, can get things done quickly with less effort. It's possible to master both languages but for a beginner I would recommend to make a choice let it be either C++ or Java. It really depends what would you like to achieve.
