What is the use of the different project templates in Code::Blocks?

When starting a new project in Code::Blocks, a window with different project templates appears and we usually select the console one...What about the others? Are they ever used? When?

yes, they are used but we choose them for a purpose like console project is used for pure c++ coding but projects like win 32 gui are used to make c++ apps with graphic user interface and so on for every project has specific thing to do i think ogre and direct x are for games
