it completely depends on u.. how u want your tags and properties to be implemented.. i u use text type it will work fine.. but the email type property adds an additional feature.. which we used to accomplish by using JavaScript before html5

Sure sir, you are right but when we are learning new things or new language one must be aware of the possibilities. Secondly, we are learning HTML5 not JavaScript right now, that's why I asked it to update. But if you are not agreed it ok. Thanks for the reply.

if u r learning html from sololearn then let me tell you.. they increase the concepts gradually.. with better understanding.. so in "Html 5 forms part 2" section of sololearn u will be learning the new included types of input properties.. like tel, email password and the rest..
