Time for c++ language

Question

what is the code of time like 9:00am? with the ':' or it is the same as usual? sorry for my English and I can't explain it will, anyway here's my problem

it takes John to walk 10 minutes at the quadrangle and 30 minutes to prepare for his work, what time should John leave his home in order to get to his job at 9:00 am?
