There is no better language. it all depends on what you want to do. All languages are limited in their own way and that's why many programming languages exists to meet the specific needs of a project/client.

Python is good at simple games, scientific computations, and basic simplicity in its code, however it is not available to phones, or its hard to do so, and its slower than Java. Java can basically do all python can do but it is not higjer level language and is harder to learn
