well it depends on what your end goal is. for example, do you want to make an app? make a game? to get employed? to become a genius programmer? don't care? etc

@Gage Grant if all you care about is making your own game, I'd recommend GameMaker for 2D, Unity (C#, "UnityScript") for 3D. HTML+CSS+Javascript is also a good option if you wanted it to be a web game. If you want to be a professional game dev, working for big games like GTA, learn C++. if any of this is just too much for you, you can do RPGMaker, or Scratch.

For web development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript. For games: The C languages. JS would probably work to. For computer programs: The C languages, again. For Android apps: Java. This is all I know when it comes to appropriate languages. If you need more info, try looking somewhere else.

Well, I tell ya. Me, personally, I for one am very much interested in Raspberry Pi. Here I am getting HTML, CSS, Java, JS, PHP, I have to get Ruby on Rails, I want to get Python, and I'm just getting started with Pythagorean Theory.
