What is the difference between subscripted text and superscripted text? Actually what are the effects of these texts?

superscript raises the text like a exponent in math 23 = 8 and subscript lowers the text like in chemisrty H2O

you can think of them as superscripted text is superman and subscripted text is a submarine k̶i̶n̶d̶a̶ ̶c̶r̶i̶n̶g̶y̶ ̶l̶o̶o̶k̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶b̶a̶c̶k̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶

Subscript places the preceding text a bit below. Superscript places it a bit higher, like an exponent. Both make the text smaller as well.

if you code this <p> 5 2</p> You'll get 5² as a result BTW 5²=25
