Is app development using java still the best for the future?

Java is still the best for Android apps development. But there's one stand alone competetor called Kotlin which I think will replace Java soon. But we can't say anything about the future, and don't worry, Java will never die ^^

For the future? Depends how far into the future you're talking. It's hard to say what will be relevant 5 to 10 years from now. We could get hit by a plasma solar flare and none of the programming languages will matter much for awhile.
