Many of social media share their APIs:

twitter:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/twitter

facebook:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/fb/0.2.0

instagram:
https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-instagram

There are some more of them plus wrappers, so you can have a selection to choose from.

Opening websites can be done easily in Python, sure.
But what exactly you mean by locking yourself in with Python?

i would like to lock in in my social media accounts and do some automatic processes (liking pics,...)
