What programming languages should you learn if you want to make a mobile app?

I've always wanted to program a simple mobile app but I'm not sure if I have the knowledge to do so.

@Paola, one of the reasons I choose React Native is Javascript is my focused language, and I seldom write Java programs. I have build some ReactJS components which can be imported into React Native as if needed. With a single copy of React Native source code, we can cover all iOS and Android devices, the app layout has a consistent look and feel across different platforms. Its like killing all birds with one store. 😆 ReactJS emphasise on reusable component designs. With React Native, the website that build on ReactJS can be easily converted to mobile apps, without much rewriting and testing works. Unlike other Javascript framework (like Ionic) that only build WebView apps, React Native is the only Javascript mobile framework that can compile to native apps, the program can control the hardware and native features directly, such as camera, gps location, accelerometer..

@Calvin, is there a particular reason why you chose JS+React Native over Kotlin (Android) and Swift (iOS)? I'm currently learning React for this same purpose😊 @Wolf Gaming: sorry for being an intruder in your thread 😶 I believe this question has been answered hundreds of times, I'm sure you'll find lots of helpful answers in the Q/A; although @Chirag gave you a nice summary😊👌
