it will take some time for this to be ready (experimental for now). when its ready for production the performance will be awesome; they say twice as fast which will be benefit VR apps, web apps and games.

There is prospective of WebAssembly overtaking JavaScript. But it will take some time before WebAssembly is supported by all the browsers. Therefore JavaScript will be still there in near future!!!
