Is it possible for a student who wasted his/her first year doing nothing to do gsoc in next year ?

I have no idea what a gsoc is, but I know this much, people who think the impossible is possible are the ones who make the impossible possible. Those who think the impossible is impossible never try, so they never do.

Absolutely. From what I'm looking at it looks like the coding process is already half over, so I doubt you can get in now. (Idk though, you'd have to check the website).
Probably next year.
