How big or small did SoloLearn played a role in your programing skills..?

All my basics are from SoloLearn, and without basics, I would be a piece of skrub. Although I would probably find an alternate source to learn stuff, it wouldn't come to be as easy as the tutorial slides we have here.

'freeCodeCamp' and 'hackthissite' are good alternatives or complements to learning platforms such as SL. No one learning platform fills in all the gaps. That being said SL has provided a solid app for forging the basics and remaining open and broad without focusing too narrowly upon one domain.

Most of my programming skills come from my university, but I use Sololearn as a reference for learning other languages, such as Java. It gives basic/quick explanations of each fundamental, which is what I want.
That all being said, I come here for the discussion board to help other programmers. In turn, they help me by making me look up topics I wouldn't of otherwise known about. I enjoy that part the most. ^^

I don't like attending classes cause I never understand what these lecturers are saying, I prefer doing things on my own at my pace and then enquire later on. SL has been a very helpful to fully understanding the concept of programming and really understanding the basics of programming.
As I speak, every year I meet final year students who keep telling me that they are afraid of the corporate world because they know that though they are qualified, they don't really know much about programming
