it's a mystery. but I think it has something to do with not being able to run on code playground.

No @Farshad, as C do not have OOP and Cpp has loooots of stuff to learn (that sololearn do not teach like boost), C is in fact easier to learn ! In fact, I found once this sentence on the internet (do not remember where though ...) and found it really true ! C : easy to learn, hard to use C++ : hard to learn, easy to use

I don't think so @Ahri as they use GCC for C++ (I learned it from a feedback I gave them), they should be able to run C the same way as C++ with gcc
