I haven't taken the Java course, but I'm almost certain that isn't true. Generally Sololearn courses give you all the basics and none of the advanced. Also, Code Playground doesn't allow graphics besides text, and can only take input from the start. This makes it very hard to make a game, and even then it'll be text only and simple.
You can make games with Java, but other than basics, I don't think Sololearn will help at all; you'll likely need to follow tutorials outside Sololearn for Java game development.
Just a note: while Java can make a game, basically any language can. Unless you want to make your game a android app, I'd suggest you learn C++ (unreal) for professional AAA game development, Unity C# for 3D indie games, GameMaker GML for 2D indie games, and JavaScript for web games.

The knowledge you will gain from the courses will let you understand how to make games.
