Well everyone has different ways of remembering details. Something that works for me is writing things down. When ever I learn something like progrming languages I write the entire language down with each lessons and sort them in chapters. This makes learning multiple progrming languages easier for me. I can compare and contast the syntax from my notes that I have written down. With this method I am able to recollect what I have learnt years ago just by glancing through my notes. Hope this helps.

@Ra Hul writing things down may sound simple but it really helps and I also agree with @Apoorva that memorizing code does not help and understaing what each character amd each line does is very crucial. Also take challenges to further reinforce what you have learned and this practice will only make you perfect in your field.

Once I've gone through a course I generally remember the basics but forget the syntax very fast. Next time I need the language I just quickly go through the course (generally the last part of the course since the first parts are mostly the same in every programming langauge) to relearn the syntax.

Just don't by heart codes. Instead try to understand the logic behind it. And try to make it on your own!
