Do I still need to learn <frameset> if it's not supported in HTML 5?

You never know when you may come across an old website on a job that uses it. Plus it takes less than two minutes to read up on.

Ya, all most popular browsers (chrome, ie, moz, opera) understand html5. But... Maybe You have to redesign old site version. So You are to modify html from frames to html5 edition.

Frames were taught in this course, because some web sites still use html4 so in order to understand their code frames must be learned.

Yes, because you can never learn too much. Also, you never know when you might need to use this element.
