no android already has DVM (Dalvik virtual machine) which is an optimised version of JVM (Java virtual machine)

Hi, I have the same question but I don't understand the answer. If DVM = JVM, it's for running apps, and I need JDK to develop, can I develop on my Android cellphone?

We're focusing here at J2SE i.e. Java 2 Standard Edition, however for mobile application J2ME Java 2 Micro Edition is majorly used.
