Is this course content enough to start coding/learning higher frameworks based on jQuery?

Please recommend essential course which would complement this course or would provide more examples.

Honestly i doubt it. I think learning from a variety of sources is the best way. Before moving onto jQuery, you want to have a solid understanding of the basic principles of JavaScript. I would recommend building a few projects with vanilla JavaScript to truly reinforce your understanding. Build something like a "Score keeper" App, or a to do list app and then start learning jQuery when you are confident with JS basics and can practically build something with it.

I would highly recommend Colt Steeles web developer course on Udemy which has a solid JavaScript section with projects you can build. You can get most udemy courses for 90% off when they go on sale, never buy them at full price.
