Can android be installed in your PC ?
A friend of mine asked me this question and wants to know whether anybody has ever tried it. How would help I her. In case if its possible how would you do it? What are things that you should know. please let me know your answers.

It is possible but if you want to install it on your HD... be careful.
I tried it and it was pretty useless, in addition it given me some hardware issues... if you have a decent hardware... try it in a virtual machine!

There is PC version called android x86. You can download the ISO for free, but like others said it's not that useful. I did this along with other Linux distros from USB live boot. I had hardware issues.
I did recently try Bluestacks (mentioned by others) on Windows 10 which emulates android. I tried a couple games and it seems to work pretty good.

yes you just need to install Android emulator
BlueStacks is one of them
it takes a lot of RAM memory

You can definitely get emulators for instance the one built into android studio. However as for running on a PC I don't know. It is based on Linux and Chrome OS Is built on it or very similar so maybe.
